What’s up guys?! It’s really unbelievable that 2023 is over. 😱 This year put an exclamation point on the end of the pandemic’s sneaker market euphoria, when speculative demand fueled inflated resell prices. Watchlist: Reverse Grinch’s Just De-Throned the Jordan 11 for Holiday 2023 ⛄️ 👑

Nike Kobe 6 Protro Reverse Grinch

Jumpman’s annual December release of the Jordan 11 is typically considered the year’s “holiday shoe.” But this year, Nike’s Kobe 6 Protro Reverse Grinch (FV4921-600) blew the DMP Gratitude 11’s (CT8012-170) away on resell price premium while coming in as the second most sold sneaker for the month. Across adult sizes, the Reverse Grinch averaged a $535 resell price ($345 above retail). Meanwhile, though the 11’s outsold every other sneaker (2x the Reverse Grinch), they averaged only $255 a pair, just $25 above retail.

Our algorithm has both likely going down in price in the next 30 days, so sell now for highest short-term return, and buy later for better prices. Coop and Natalya

Watchlist: This Year’s Biggest Movers—Up, Up, and Away 📈

2023’s Biggest Gainers by % Change in Price*

Check out this year’s biggest price gainers, defined as the percentage (%) change in price from the first day of resale in 2023 to the last day in 2023 (through today). Only sneakers with 300+ sales during that period were included. This is by SKU, and of course, there will be performance variations based on size. (For example, a size 11.5 may see greater gains than a size 6.)

If you bought these pairs early on the resell market and held until now, your sneakers saw the largest gain in value (as % change) this year. 🧠 Does anything on this list surprise you? Natalya
